Relax on arrival with complementary refreshments in our spacious and peaceful Guest Day Room where you can prepare for tomorrow's meetings or plan your day out exploring the historic city of Lincoln. This room is free of television to ensure guests have a quiet haven to relax in at the end of the day. There are plenty of magazines and books to browse through.
Whilst of course there is a complimentary tray in your bedroom, we encourage our guests to make use of the house on a 'home from home' basis. In the Guest Day Room there is always tea and coffee making facilities with fresh apple juice and orange juice and milk all chilled in the guest fridge. Just to make it a little more like home there is always a plentiful supply of cakes and we invite you to avail yourself of these refreshments at any time of the day or night.
For the comfort of all our guests, we operate a no smoking policy within the Guesthouse. Outside there is plenty of seating and ashtrays for guests to make use of. Should the weather be a bit inclement, there is a covered arbour where guests can smoke in comfort.
If you have your smart device with you, then browse the internet via our 50 Mb cable broadband facility with our compliments available in all bedrooms and in the garden too. If you are travelling ‘device free’ then a laptop for internet access is available on request. If you need to print emails or reports, then a colour printer is available to guests on request.
Off-street car parking is provided for all guests (height and width restrictions may apply to larger vehicles) with ample space for alighting in safety. The car park attached to the Guest House has three spaces, is well lit and a safe and secure place to leave the car. The car park entrance is very narrow. Additional parking is available about 50 metres away in the local church car park which is securely gated at night and covered by cctv. Guests who are unsure about parking are invited to park on the street outside the entrance to the guest House car park and discuss our valet parking service with Iain and Anna.
We invite you to eat your first meal of the day in peaceful surroundings where a full English and three fish options chosen from an a la carte menu or continental breakfast is served to the relaxing sounds of light classical music. Enjoy the freshly pressed, large linen napkins, elegant cutlery and round tables and tub chairs where elbow room is ample.
Wherever we can, your breakfast will be cooked with locally produced or sourced ingredients. We are delighted to offer beef, traditional Lincolnshire sausage or, for the more adventurous, a poacher sausage made with Lincolnshire cheese and honey.
These delicacies, along with our thickly cut, dry cured smoked bacon are all specialities of Bellamy’s Butchers, a small local family business offering quality produce to local residents and businesses.
Alternatively, if you prefer fish for breakfast why not sample our Scottish kippers grilled with butter and served with lemon wedges, horseradish and brown bread triangles, or smoked salmon served hot with scrambled eggs or cold with poached eggs on an English toasted muffin.
To complete your breakfast, select from a choice of eggs from free range chickens, prepared to your taste. Coffee and tea are served with fresh wholemeal, granary or white toast, croissants or bagels. Sample the delights of homemade jams and preserves prepared by Jenny’s Jams in Jenny’s own kitchen at home as you complete your meal.
Most dietary needs are also catered for and a list of food allergens are clearly displayed in the dining room.
